Globat's one of the industries oldest web hosts and provides a great range of features and options. I'd heard a lot about Globat previously, and took the plunge today for a new site i'm setting up. Although they are extremely affordable, and give lots of options / features with their hosting environment, their technical support and PHP configuration I found, is somewhat lacking.

Globat seems to be an extremely impressive web host. Their plans offer an unrivaled amount of bandwidth, hosting space, databases and more.

Globat has also won awards from webhostdir, findmyhost, hostreview as well as many others.

Globat has 3 simple hosting plans to choose from a 30 day money back gaurantee and provide 24 hour phone, email and live chat support.

Whilst their setup seems impressive, I found their 1st level support to be limited in regards to technical knowledge and some of their server configurations restrictive.

For example, they dont support CRON, have restrictions on what can be included in HTACCESS files and have an extremely annoying credit card verification process when signing up. If verification isnt a problem for you and you have no idea what CRON or HTACCESS even are, then Globat should still be on your short list of hosts to choose from.

Technology
Globat supports only Linux hosting at this time and does not provide any Windows hosting.

Support
Globat offers phone, email / ticket and live chat support 24/7/365. They also have an extensive self help section with tutorials, video help guides and more. If your query is extremely technical, expect it to get escalated to "level 2" support.

Overall Rating
If your site isnt technically heavy, i.e. it doesnt use many PHP applications, doesnt require complex HTACCESS files etc, then Globat is a great host. If on the other hand, you require more control and your site is PHP intensive, id recommend another host, such as BlueHost
